On June 9 and 10 EMUFT will hold meetings to vote for two EMUFT delegates to attend the AFT National Convention, and to discuss the new pay schedule affecting our part time lecturers.

The Orchard Park High School Photography I & II classes had their annual photo show on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo at the “1045 Gallery for the Arts” over the weekend. The photos that were at the event were crowd favorites that displayed the student’s skill in photography. The photographs represented the student’s ability to capture excellent moments using proper composition and good exposure techniques. There were many guests to come out and view the photos and a good time was had by all.

More than half of all older Americans rely on their social security as their sole or at least their primary source of income in their golden years. Through years of strong union leadership, NYSUT retirees are, happily , not in that statistic. Still, many retirees worry about their pension security.
