Parents As Reading Partners (PARP) at Woodstock

Thursday, January 30th Mr. Bill Michella, Mrs. Elohim Pacheco and Mrs. Nicole Polacco kicked off a three week reading program with an exciting assembly.  Local author, David Golden stopped by to share his love of reading. He showed the children the process of writing a book and even brought in a model to share with the second and third graders.

MHFT Newsletter -- March 17, 2014

Below you will find a joint CFT/CTA Press Release on the start of the Vergara lawsuit against due process rights for teachers (which the plaintiffs erroneously refer to as tenure).

Below that is a column written by Mario Banuelos for the Morgan Hill Times, which they declined to print.  (In fact, we at MHFT have also submitted items to the Times, including simple letters to the editor, which they have neither printed nor even acknowledged receiving.)

And below that is an important announcement from State Superintendent of Schools Tom Torlaksen about this year’s standardized testing.

GTA and Friends Attend the Winter Gathering

The Faculty, Staff, and Administrators of the Goshen Central School District, gathered on Friday, February 28th, to have some fun during the school year. DJ Tucci took care of the music and the people on the dance floor got busy.

The food was great and the company was loads of fun.  Thank you to Delancey's for opening your doors to our local schools.  Thank you to the party planners for all of their efforts in making the afternoon a huge success.

Middle School and High School Conferences

FYI, at the BOE meeting on Thurs., March 6, the parent who wrote the recent article in the local paper (regarding H.S. & M.S. Parent- Teacher conferences) asked the BOE to consider making the request for M.S. & H.S. parent teacher conferences a part of negotiations. The BOE's response was that they already had a lengthy list of  requests which they had on the table. The BOE also stated that they would research by asking for data from nearby districts who had such conferences.
